KUALA LUMPUR, 12 June – Ilyas Zorin, Innulla Convalis, Class of 2016, had always dreamt of producing a music/film platform for the young talents. This dream can now be made a reality whenhe was recently appointed by Taylor’s University as the Director and producer of Taylor’s University Film Festival (TUFF).

“It’s tough for students to showcase their work in large scale and open film festivals such as Filem Festival Malaysia (FFM) where they need to compete with thousands of others.” Ilyas said.

“Hence this poses a challenge to kickstart their filmmaking journey. That is why we need to provide a safe platform for the young budding talents that enables their work to grow and flourish.”

The main aim of TUFF is to cater for all university students and young filmmakers from around the world. TUFF is created to empower young filmmakers by propelling the industry foward with fresh new ideas.

TUFF is currently working alongside FINAS to award grants to winners during the Film Festival.
