The GetThere X BASE Initiative workshop was held on the 25th and 26th of May at Taylor’s Lakeside Campus. BASE’s pinnacle event successfully garnered a physical attendance of approximately 300 passionate students, not to mention the vast amount of around 1000 students eagerly participating online!
Scholars from all walks of life volunteered to become speakers and thanks to the small age gap, prospective scholars could relate to their seniors which made them understand the rigorous application process better. A student from Asia Pacific Secondary School even said that from knowing nothing about scholarships, the workshop effectively familiarized her with scholarship applications.
Ranging from Kolej Yayasan UEM to Taylor’s College, scholarship holders of different scholarship bodies like Yayasan Khazanah and Petronas assisted the students from A-Z with scholarship applications, covering even the tiniest possible details such as document preparation and video resumes.
