“We (PwC) take around 1,000 fresh graduates, 700 interns every year,” says Nurul Ain binti Abdul Latif, Executive Chair of PwC Malaysia. To help achieve this target, the firm revealed a partnership with Queens College, supported by the TYMBA Education Group.

This collaboration is part of a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Queens College, TYMBA Education Group, and several industry leaders, including the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), MySyarikat Academy, and Study Hub Education Advisory.

The MoU, which also celebrates Queens College’s integration into the TQP Education Group alongside TYMBA Education Group and Institut Kemahiran PERMATA, paves the way for the launch of innovative Work-Based Learning (WBL) Diploma programmes.

These programmes are specifically designed to bridge the gap between education and industry, providing students with practical skills and globally recognised qualifications that employers demand.

A key highlight of this collaboration is the WBL Diploma in Accounting, developed in partnership with PwC Malaysia and ACCA. This unique programme integrates the ACCA Diploma in Accounting and Business (DIAB), combining rigorous academic training with practical industry experience.

“We are proud to support Queens College and TYMBA Education Group in the WBL Diploma in Accounting programme. This initiative represents a significant step forward in providing students with practical experience and industry-relevant skills that employers are looking for in tackling the challenges of today and tomorrow,” added Nurul Ain.

The WBL Diploma in Accounting, supported by TYMBA Education Group, spans two and a half years, with students spending one and a half years in full-time study at Queens College, followed by a year of industrial training with PwC Malaysia. Upon completion, graduates will have the opportunity to join PwC Malaysia or further their studies to complete the ACCA qualification.

“We are thrilled to announce this significant collaboration,” said Airil Razali, Chief Executive Officer of Queens College. “Our new WBL Diploma programmes, developed in partnership with leading industry experts like PwC Malaysia, ACCA, and TYMBA Education Group, are set to redefine the educational experience. These programmes will equip our students with the skills and qualifications necessary to excel in their careers.”

Hishamuddin Jalil, Employers Relationship Lead at ACCA Maritime Southeast Asia, emphasised the quality of education the partnership would bring: “Our collaboration with Queens College and TYMBA Education Group on integrating the ACCA DIAB into the WBL Diploma in Accounting ensures that students benefit from high-quality, globally recognised education.”

“As a chartered accountant, you will have the versatility to be attached anywhere (industry).” says Khalid Ahmad who is also a former chairman of MRCB. Khalid’s career spans leading companies in multiple industries, having led in sectors ranging from media, construction, real-estate to technology.

In addition to the accounting diploma, Queens College is also launching a WBL Diploma in Digital Marketing, developed in collaboration with MySyarikat Academy. This programme aims to equip students with the skills needed to thrive in the fast-paced digital economy, offering practical experience in digital marketing strategies and techniques.

Study Hub Student Advisory has been appointed as the premium recruitment partner for these WBL Diploma programmes. They will play a key role in promoting the programmes to prospective students and managing the recruitment process, ensuring that Queens College and TYMBA Education Group attract those eager to take advantage of these high-impact educational opportunities.
